Screen printed window

For our second season of Test Print Tuesday, we were invited to create a screen printed window installation at Zone 3 on Western Ave. My collaborator, Helen Popinchalk, and I decided it would be a fun addition to the space while providing a little extra buzz in the neighborhood about what we were doing.

With AntiDesigns, I’m always working on managing expectations. I find it to be the best bridge between ideas and creating. It allows clients and collaborators the chance to visualize what you are planning to execute so that when they see the final result, there are no surprises.

For this screen printed window install, I stopped by Zone 3 on day and took some photos on the windows we were planning on using for the printed collage. I took some photos and worked up a digital mockup of what the mural would look like, using some photoshop perspective warp trickery. Here is the mockup we shared before printing:

Once we were approved, we coordinated our install date and picked a fun color pallete for the prints. We used four designs burned on smaller screens for an easy install. You can see a little process video on our youtube here:
